Apache-SSL legal for use in U.S.?

Seems an odd question, considering U.S. policy on strong encryption.
However, I've heard some rumors that Apache-SSL/SSLeay is in violation of
some RSA patents here in the U.S.

Our plans for the server are wholly non-commerical, for what that's worth.

Any truth to the rumors? Anyone here in the U.S. running an Apache-SSL
server?

It would be helpful if anyone had pointers to URLs on this topic.

Thanks!
