mmm here is what i did...
the apache ssl patch is in /home/src/apachessl
apache 1.2.6 source is in /home/src/apache_1.2.6
ssl-0.8.0 source is in /home/src/SSLeay-0.8.0
i compiled SSLeay. compiled the apache ssl, cp'd SSLpatch to
/home/src/apache_1.2.6 and applied the patch, changed the configuration to
match the SSLeay dir. then *tried* to compile apache, thus getting the
'dont know how to make gcache.h' error...is it something i did?
