That's been my experience as well, at least with Netscape browsers. I've
been issuing certificates for "*.domain.rice.edu" with great success.
There have been suggestions that MSIE doesn't take well to regular
expressions but we're have such a heavy UNIX presence, almost all of our
local connections are from Netscape browsers and those (IMHO, misguided :)
folks using MSIE aren't that far from a copy of Netscape.
Can anyone confirm that MSIE has trouble with regexes in the common name?
