For mod_ssl 2.0.x you can already read this:
http://www.engelschall.com/sw/mod_ssl/docs/#FAQ-diffs

For mod_ssl 2.1.x (released this week) a lot of new features and improvements
were already additionally added to the above points (for instance new pass
phrase handling capable of running an external program and additionally
caching the pass phrase for restarts; dedicated SSL logfile with selectable
loglevels; a new SSLCACertificateReqFile directive for configuring the CAs
sent on SSLv3 `write certificate request A', etc.). When 2.1.x is available
the above URL will summarize those changes, too.
