I need an https proxy for firewall reasons. I've
configured Apache-SSL with a virtual host with
proxying enabled:
<VirtualHost www.somedomain.com.au:443>
[...]
SSLEnable
ProxyRequests on
</VirtualHost>
I set my "Secure" proxy in Netscape 4.61 to be
www.somedomain.com.au, port 443. I can access
https://www.somedomain.com.au:443 correctly, but
when I try to access another https site (via
the proxy), I get "Document contains no data"
and the following message in the error log:
[Thu Aug 19 00:55:30 1999] [error] SSL_accept failed
[Thu Aug 19 00:55:30 1999] [error] error:1407609A:SSL
routines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:https proxy request
Is there a solution, or is it just not possible?
squid claims to support SSL proxying, but that's overkill
for this application, and I already have apache-SSL
running.
Please send any replies direct (or CC) as I am not yet

Thanks,
Hamish
