RE: [apache-ssl] Error on first time use. Can replicate.

There are many bugs in the software. It seems to be working fine on Linux
though.

Try using mod-ssl and openssl instead. The website for mod ssl is
www.modssl.org .

Subject: [apache-ssl] Error on first time use. Can replicate.

Hello

I have tried on two different machines to get apache-ssl to work -
unsuccessfuly.

Config info:

installed SSLeay-0.9.0b-4.i386.rpm, openssl-0.9.4-6mdk.i586.rpm and
apache-ssl-1.3.4-1.31.1.i386.rpm;
generated a self signed key (as per instrcutions on the web site)
modified the httpsd.conf file in /etc/httpsd/conf to point to my new
cert
ran 'httpsd start'

The following error was reported:

httpsd: error in loading shared libraries: httpsd: undefined symbol:
SSLeay_add_ssl_algorithms

and then it pukes out.

I have tried this on two different boxes. Same results. Am I missing
something really obvious here? Or is this a problem with the rpm builds
that I am using.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THanks
D.
