As for the first message, I think you need to upgrade and install the latest
version of the "patch" program. do a 'patch -v' to find the version number
of your patch and install accordingly.

I have to build apache-ssl on a Sun Ultra 10 Solaris 7.
I've compiled and installed openssl-0.9.5 without problems (the
intallation process didn'd show me any error). I have apache_1.3.12 and
apache_1.3.12+ssl_1.40. When I try to apply the "FixPatch" it shows: "Your
version of patch is out-of-date. You need patch 2.1 or 2.5" and:
