It may be a long shot, but I would guess that Your version of patch is
out-of-date. You need patch 2.1 or 2.5. :)

Be careful when installing on Solaris though - don't replace the
existing one or future system patches will fail. However, for FixPatch
to work, you need to make sure that /usr/local/bin comes first in your
path - just do:
export PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH
./FixPatch
then log out and back in again and your environment will be back to
normal.
